We are the first Spanish company specialized in production and distribution of frozen food for animals.
We started the project in 2001 and our desire for continuous improvement, market research and the satisfaction of our customers have made us a world leader in food for birds of prey and zoo animals.
At BioAvian we are aware of the importance of food for the animal’s health, especially those living in captivity. That’s why we carefully choose the range of our products and raw materials that are subjected to strict quality controls. We have established alliances with main animal food distributors in Europe and strengthened their structure.
All this, combined with the knowledge and experience of having behind it the laboratory that belongs to our same business group, reference in the analytical and pathological control in the animal sector and the agri-food industry.
We have shared with all our customers our goal of producing animal food based on biosecurity and animal health protocols and we want to continue flying together and feeding our dreams.

Animal Food with Biosecurity
Our large experience with Breeding and Wildlife Centers, Zoos and Aquariums allow us to have a wide variety of food and supplements for all types of animals, being able to design safe diets, healthy, balanced and highly digestive to meet the needs of animals in all their stages of development.
Day-old chicks are the main food of many animals and especially birds of prey in captivity. In general, day-old chicks are nutritionally very complete. They have high levels of protein, low in fat and excellent levels of vitamins (such as vitamin A and E).
Product certified by CCL to ensure the absence of Salmonella and Mycoplasma in our day-old chicks.
Our exclusive quails have been genetically selected and specifically bred with the aim of feeding birds of prey. Thanks to comprehensive monitoring throughout its development we can guarantee the highest sanitary standard. They are bred in a close system where we control at all times the selection of parental lines, the hatch process, growing and breeding.
Of course, we complete our catalogue of frozen products with other poultry, rodents, insects, meat and fish. We also have a portfolio of specific dry food and supplements

Both day-old chicks and quails are the most commonly used frozen animal food products in diet of many animals in captivity. Our commitment to the sector leads us to make production the true reflection of our way of understanding excellence following three basic pillars:
Biosecurity
We have the maximum biosecurity measures both in breeding farms, hatcheries and at all stages of transport.
Traceability
The whole hatchery process is perfectly defined in the different procedures of our quality control system and recorded in our protocols. We have full traceability and both ways, from production to our customers.
Health Quality
We control the health of all our productions: from the breeders to the batches at each hatch, through a microbiological control of the facilities and without forgetting, among others, the quality control.
I FALCONRY MEETING
Bioavian, a Valladolid-based company specializing in animal food for birds of prey, organized the first Bioavian International Falconry Meeting, which took place in Nava del Rey (Spain) from October 11th to 13th, 2025.
The 1st Bioavian International Falconry Meeting featured a tent of over 1,000 square meters where attendees met with exhibitors dedicated to the falconry sector.
A falconry championship was also held on the grounds of Nava del Rey, with several categories: high-flying, low-flying, and speed. 115 falconers participated, with significant prizes awarded to the best in each category.
To promote and raise awareness of this ancient art, falconry was free for all visitors, and we are already organizing the next edition.
Falconry has been declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since 2010.
